GRC Engineer
About this role
Lead Verkada's GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) function to build scalable, automated security compliance programs supporting rapid global expansion. Work cross-functionally to implement security controls, maintain compliance roadmaps, and manage vendor assessments while enabling enterprise customer trust.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain automated security control testing and monitoring tools across AWS, GitHub, and other platforms
- Develop company-wide security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation with internal stakeholder communication
- Manage security exception processes, corrective action plans, and annual risk assessments with risk treatment strategies
- Conduct vendor security assessments and maintain customer questionnaire FAQs for assurance programs
- Collaborate on Business Impact Assessments, BCP/DR activities, and audit coordination with internal and external auditors
- Drive automation and AI-powered solutions to scale GRC functions across corporate, IT, and product environments
