About this role
Varda seeks a Space Process Engineer to partner with design and manufacturing teams on spacecraft hardware production, ensuring reliable and scalable manufacturing processes for in-orbit pharmaceutical processing vehicles and reentry systems. You'll lead failure investigations, create test and inspection plans, and support quality and mission assurance across all vehicle hardware.
What you'll do
- Develop test, manufacturability, and inspection plans for spacecraft hardware in collaboration with design and manufacturing teams
- Contain and manage non-conforming products, providing technical guidance to inspectors, technicians, and engineers
- Lead failure investigations in production and operations to identify root causes and improve design and process reliability
- Conduct critical peer reviews during design reviews and qualification test campaigns
- Support Quality, Flight Reliability, and Mission Assurance functions across the organization
- Scale production processes and controls to enable reliable hardware manufacturing at increased rates
