Software Engineer, Internship - Infrastructure

About this role

Join Palantir's Foundations team as an Infrastructure Software Engineering Intern to build shared infrastructure supporting major data platforms. You'll work on backend services, developer tools, frontend systems, or storage technologies while growing rapidly under mentor guidance and collaborating with engineers across the organization.

What you'll do

• Build features to improve developer experience and platform scalability
• Participate in full product lifecycle from design through rollout
• Collaborate with technical and non-technical teams to solve infrastructure challenges
• Work on one of four infrastructure focus areas: backend, developer tools, frontend, or storage systems
• Contribute to codebase using modern languages and open-source technologies
• Learn and apply new technologies to solve technical problems

• Software engineering fundamentals and clean code practices
• Quick language learning ability
• Problem-solving and debugging
• Java, Go, or TypeScript (preferred but not required)
• Understanding of distributed systems or databases
• Collaboration and communication
• Git and version control workflows
• Familiarity with modern build and CI/CD tools
