About this role
Path Robotics seeks a Welding Solutions Engineer to bridge sales and technical expertise, helping manufacturing customers integrate AI-driven robotic welding systems into their operations. You'll combine deep welding and manufacturing process knowledge with robotics and automation understanding to deliver tailored solutions and drive business growth.
What you'll do
- Advise prospects and customers on technical product capabilities and troubleshoot implementation challenges
- Assess customer manufacturing workflows and recommend robotic welding solutions that integrate seamlessly
- Conduct robotic welding experiments and simulations using proprietary software to validate feasibility on customer parts
- Support sales from discovery through closure, managing application assessments and pipeline progression
- Deliver technical presentations demonstrating how AI robotics solves specific manufacturing challenges
- Gather customer feedback to inform engineering teams about product enhancements
What they're looking for
- Welding expertise (MIG, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, SMAW processes)
- CAD proficiency (SolidWorks or equivalent)
- Robotic welding systems and adaptive technologies (touch sensing, seam tracking)
- Machine learning, computer vision, and AI concepts in manufacturing context
- Industrial robotics programming (Yaskawa, ABB, Kuka, Fanuc preferred)
- Technical presentation and communication skills
- Manufacturing process analysis and workflow optimization
- Weld parameter development and design of experiment principles
