About this role

Pebl is seeking a Design Engineer to own and evolve a comprehensive design system across web and mobile platforms. You'll architect components, tokens, and documentation while partnering closely with engineering to ensure scalability, consistency, and accessibility across the organization.

What you'll do

  • Own design system architecture, strategy, and evolution including components, tokens, patterns, and documentation across web and mobile
  • Design and ship production-ready components with defined states, variants, interactions, responsiveness, and accessibility
  • Partner with frontend engineering to ensure design decisions translate cleanly into code with shared ownership of quality and maintainability
  • Create clear, opinionated documentation and usage guidance including best practices, anti-patterns, and contribution standards
  • Build governance models that balance system integrity with product team velocity
  • Lead evaluation and integration of AI-powered design tools including Figma AI, MCP integrations, and Storybook
