About this role
Mechanical Design Engineer II will develop manufacturing solutions and tooling for medical device production, collaborating across engineering and production teams to optimize equipment performance and implement process improvements.
What you'll do
- Design and develop fixtures, tooling, and equipment for medical device manufacturing and production lines
- Conduct root cause analysis on production issues and implement validated solutions
- Perform equipment qualifications and monitor performance to optimize yield and efficiency
- Create engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation for cross-functional teams
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments on improvement initiatives and equipment implementation
- Train production staff and technicians on new processes, equipment, and procedures
