Security & Trust Engineer
About this role
Alex is seeking its first Security & Trust Engineer to build and own a comprehensive security, compliance, and AI governance program for an enterprise AI recruiting platform. You'll manage customer security reviews, develop compliance automation, become the expert on AI regulation, and represent the company as a trusted partner to enterprise security teams.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end customer security reviews including questionnaires, vendor risk assessments, and security addenda
- Build automation and tooling to reduce security review turnaround time while scaling volume
- Develop expertise on AI regulation including EU AI Act, NYC LL144, GDPR, and employment decision tool rules
- Lead security conversations with enterprise prospects and customers; build trust center and security documentation
- Own SOC 2 compliance, manage audits and penetration tests, and plan roadmap for additional certifications
- Partner with Engineering to implement technical controls and shift security left into product design

- Information security and compliance program management
- Enterprise security review and vendor risk assessment processes
- AI governance and emerging AI regulation knowledge
- SOC 2 and compliance framework experience
- Technical background (cloud security, CI/CD, access management preferred)
- Ability to communicate security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Process automation and tooling implementation
- Strong organizational and project management skills
