Applied AI Engineer

About this role

Qualified Health is seeking an Applied AI Engineer to build and deploy generative AI workflows in healthcare. You'll develop production-grade agentic systems and integrations that solve real clinical problems, working across product and engineering teams in a fast-paced startup environment.

What you'll do

• Develop and deploy agentic workflows and automation pipelines (majority of role)
• Build production-ready REST APIs and cloud service integrations
• Ship solutions rapidly while maintaining engineering quality standards
• Evaluate and integrate state-of-the-art LLMs into production healthcare use cases
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and design teams on end-to-end AI features
• Contribute to scalable workflow infrastructure supporting 100+ workflows

What they're looking for

• Python and solid software engineering practices
• Generative AI application development (ChatGPT, Claude, Anthropic, Mistral)
• REST API development and cloud deployment (GCP preferred)
• MLOps, model deployment, and workflow automation
• Agentic workflows, prompt tuning, and eval pipelines
• Experience shipping quickly in startup environments
• Cross-functional collaboration and communication
