Product Quality Engineer
About this role
RADAR seeks a Product Quality Engineer to own hardware quality across the full product lifecycle, from design through manufacturing and field returns. You'll partner with suppliers and internal teams to improve build quality and reliability using statistical process control, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
What you'll do
- Monitor production lines using statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis to prevent defects
- Investigate product failures and implement corrective and preventive actions using structured methods like 8D and fishbone analysis
- Ensure raw materials and components from suppliers meet specified requirements and quality standards
- Verify manufacturing facilities comply with regulatory certifications (ISO 9001, etc.) through audits
- Analyze field-failure returns and drive root cause analysis to prevent future defects
- Feed quality and failure data back to design engineering to inform product improvements
