Software Engineer Internship, Android

About this role

Ramp seeks an Android engineering intern for a 12-16 week program (Aug-Dec 2026) to design and ship new features on their mobile app serving 70,000+ companies. You'll collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to build scalable financial infrastructure while contributing to engineering culture at this high-growth fintech company.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and launch new Android app features and products
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to plan and prioritize key features
• Work with backend engineers to build supporting services and APIs
• Ship products in cross-functional teams from inception to production
• Contribute to engineering processes, tools, and systems that enable team scaling
• Have meaningful impact on technical design decisions and engineering culture

What they're looking for

• Kotlin for Android development
• Android UI components and Android SDK
• Mobile design patterns and best practices
• Security best practices for mobile apps
• Experience shipping apps or features to large audiences
• React/TypeScript (nice to have)
• Compose, MVVM, coroutines, flows (nice to have)
• Backend technologies like Python, Flask, SQL (nice to have)
