About this role

Reality Defender seeks a Data Engineer to build and operate large-scale data processing pipelines handling multi-terabyte and streaming datasets for our AI-powered deepfake detection platform. You'll work with Kubernetes, AWS, Spark, and workflow orchestration tools to support ML model training and real-time inference at enterprise scale.

What you'll do

  • Design and operate large-scale data pipelines processing multi-terabyte and streaming datasets including audio/video transcoding and feature extraction
  • Deploy, scale, and troubleshoot containerized workloads on Kubernetes and AWS in production
  • Build and maintain distributed data processing jobs using Spark and Ray
  • Design and operate workflow orchestration systems with dependency management, retries, monitoring, and alerting
  • Administer and tune enterprise databases for performance, backup/recovery, and scaling
  • Partner with ML engineers to support training pipelines, model retraining, and feature stores
