UX Engineer
About this role
Reality Defender seeks a UX Engineer to bridge design and engineering, creating interactive prototypes and driving the end-to-end user experience for a deepfake detection platform. You'll combine interaction design expertise with front-end development skills to validate product concepts before full implementation, working closely with Product and Engineering teams in a fast-paced startup.
What you'll do
- Design and prototype new product features from concept to implementation-ready specs using React and TypeScript
- Build interactive, near-production prototypes to validate ideas and reduce engineering investment risk
- Establish and maintain reusable UI components and design system patterns
- Collaborate with Engineering on technical feasibility and reduce handoff friction
- Advocate for usability, accessibility, and thoughtful interaction design across the platform
- Enable cross-team alignment by translating complex ideas into tangible prototypes and visual documentation
