About this role
Redwood Materials seeks a hands-on Systems Engineer to own the SCADA platform and industrial infrastructure supporting their battery recycling and manufacturing operations. You'll manage mission-critical systems across hybrid-cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring 24/7 availability for plant-floor data integration and enterprise systems.
What you'll do
- Administer SCADA platform including gateways, clustering, redundancy, and backup/restore procedures for servers and HMI infrastructure
- Manage SCADA database and historian tier—tuning performance, handling archival/retention, and ensuring data integrity for downstream feeds
- Design and operate hybrid-cloud and on-premises infrastructure across distributed datacenters and colocations
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues in 24/7 manufacturing environment with minimal downtime
- Collaborate with Controls, OT, and cloud/data teams on system design and operational strategy
- Implement monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery procedures for mission-critical systems
