About this role
Relativity Space seeks a Robotics Engineer II to develop and optimize advanced automation systems for additive manufacturing at Horizon Manufacturing Technologies. You'll lead cross-functional projects integrating robotic control systems, real-time platforms, and safety-critical infrastructure that transform next-generation manufacturing capabilities.
What you'll do
- Lead development of robotic devices and motion systems, defining requirements and integrating solutions into existing robot cells
- Commission and configure EtherCAT networks, TwinCAT/TwinSAFE safety systems, and Kuka robot platforms
- Design and debug low-voltage electrical enclosures and peripheral device connectivity
- Calibrate and verify robot cell operations using industrial metrology and tracking systems
- Support production and R&D robot cells through troubleshooting code and tuning configuration parameters
- Collaborate across welding, data science, and materials teams in a dynamic R&D environment
