About this role
ALSO, an electric mobility spinoff from Rivian, seeks an Electronics Mechanical Design Engineer to develop electromechanical systems for next-generation lightweight EVs. You'll design and integrate electronics into vehicle platforms, manage production partnerships, and drive innovations from concept through mass production.
What you'll do
- Design onboard connectivity electronics and electromechanical actuators for light electric vehicles
- Create 3D CAD models and 2D engineering drawings with emphasis on manufacturability
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to integrate PCBAs, flex circuits, and wire harnesses
- Develop test plans including FEA and physical validation to ensure specification compliance
- Build and iterate prototypes using hands-on fabrication in laboratory settings
- Oversee component production with contract manufacturers and manage product launch transitions
