About this role
Robust AI seeks a hands-on validation engineer to test and benchmark mobile robotic systems in both simulated and real-world environments. You'll design and execute tests for navigation, perception, and control subsystems, document performance findings, and drive quality assurance for autonomous robot development.
What you'll do
- Execute and automate functional tests for mobile robotic systems in simulation and on physical platforms
- Design validation protocols to evaluate navigation, perception, and control system performance under varied real-world conditions
- Establish and maintain robotic performance benchmarks and metrics
- Conduct field testing and data collection to verify system behavior and identify failure modes
- Document and summarize test results and findings to inform engineering decisions
- Collaborate with software and hardware teams to reproduce issues and validate fixes

- Test automation and scripting (Python or similar)
- Robotic systems and ROS (Robot Operating System) experience
- Hands-on debugging and troubleshooting of hardware and software
- Data analysis and performance metrics evaluation
