About this role

Rocket Lab seeks an Electrical Engineer II to design and develop avionics hardware for spacecraft programs in Long Beach, CA. You'll lead PCBA design, schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing from requirements through production, collaborating across engineering disciplines on cutting-edge space missions.

What you'll do

  • Develop PCBA requirements collaboratively with cross-functional engineering teams
  • Create schematics and perform PCB layout using Altium Designer
  • Perform circuit analysis including power, tolerance, and reliability studies
  • Execute PCBA design verification testing and system integration testing
  • Support production manufacturing and transition to operations
  • Test and validate systems for on-orbit spacecraft deployment
