GNC Engineer II
About this role
Rocket Lab seeks a GNC Engineer II to design and analyze guidance, navigation, and control systems for launch vehicles and missions. You'll conduct trajectory analyses, develop flight code, support hardware testing, and collaborate with customers and internal teams on classified and commercial launch programs.
What you'll do
- Serve as GNC technical contact for business development proposals and mission planning
- Design orbital and suborbital trajectories and conduct mission operational analyses
- Develop real-time control and estimation algorithms for launch vehicles
- Support hardware-in-the-loop testing and Monte Carlo simulations for flight verification
- Document GNC solutions and participate in design reviews with customers
- Develop automation tools and processes for GNC modeling and analysis tasks

- Python programming
- MATLAB and/or SciPy data analysis
