Ground Systems Engineer II - Electrical
About this role
Rocket Lab seeks an Electrical Engineer II to design and operate critical electrical ground systems for the Archimedes engine and Neutron launch vehicle test facility at Stennis Space Center. You'll work from initial concept through full build-out and activation of a new aerospace test facility, supporting hot fire testing and vehicle checkout operations.
What you'll do
- Design test infrastructure including electrical layouts, process diagrams, data acquisition systems, and instrumentation
- Specify, procure, and coordinate vendor delivery of electrical equipment, PLCs, and data acquisition systems
- Develop test procedures and prepare facility for activation and operational readiness
- Interface with data acquisition and control systems to collect and interpret critical test data
- Collaborate with Fluid Systems and Propulsion teams on engine and vehicle testing
- Coordinate with other Rocket Lab sites to ensure safety and operational consistency
