About this role

Rocket Lab seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I focused on avionics and test systems to debug electro-mechanical hardware, optimize production processes, and support design-for-manufacturability initiatives. You'll troubleshoot production issues, collaborate across teams, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

What you'll do

  • Debug and troubleshoot electro-mechanical and avionics systems in production
  • Optimize manufacturing processes for quality, cost, and build rate
  • Support product design for manufacturability and production transition
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements
  • Conduct environmental acceptance and production acceptance testing
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
