Samsara is seeking a Sales Engineer to support public sector clients (city, county, state, and school fleets) in modernizing their operations through IoT solutions. You'll combine technical expertise with consultative selling to help government agencies optimize fleet management, safety, and efficiency across vehicles like buses, fire trucks, and snow plows.
What you'll do
- Provide technical expertise and product demonstrations to public sector prospects
- Conduct discovery sessions, value assessments, and proof-of-concept implementations
- Guide customers through IoT hardware installation strategies and best practices
- Develop understanding of client business operations including logistics, safety, and compliance needs
- Build third-party system integrations using open APIs to deliver tailored solutions
- Serve as liaison between sales teams and technical implementation for mid-market accounts
