About this role

Saronic Technologies seeks an Autonomy Integration Build Engineer to oversee the integration of control systems, sensors, and robotics for autonomous surface vessels. You'll bridge hardware installation with software systems, working hands-on at the shipyard while coordinating remotely with engineering teams in Austin on defense innovation projects.

What you'll do

  • Design, analyze, and integrate autonomous systems including control computers, sensors, mast systems, and actuators
  • Oversee installation and bring-up of control hardware, wiring, network connections, and sensor calibration
  • Act as liaison between engineering, production, and drafting teams to resolve technical challenges during construction
  • Lead root cause analysis for non-conformances and manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) with full traceability
  • Coordinate installation of mast systems (radar, lidar, cameras, antennas) and manage actuator programming and testing
  • Support documentation including CAD modeling, technical drawings, test procedures, and as-built records
