This role involves using advanced metrology equipment to conduct inspections, improve processes, and collaborate with various teams throughout the shipbuilding process.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain dimensional control procedures
- Conduct high-accuracy inspections and alignment verification
- Utilize metrology equipment for vessel coordinate systems
- Identify opportunities for process improvements
- Oversee critical assembly and integration inspections
- Maintain inspection records and prepare quality reports

- Precision measurement systems (laser trackers, total stations)
- Understanding of shipyard fabrication processes
- Interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T
- Experience with 3D metrology software
