About this role

Saronic Technologies seeks a Security Engineer for Application Security to build and scale secure software development practices across their maritime autonomy platform. You'll own the application security function, securing the SDLC, supply chain, and deployment infrastructure while partnering with engineering teams to make security the default rather than an obstacle to speed.

What you'll do

  • Design and implement secure SDLC practices including threat modeling, code review, and SAST/DAST/SCA integration into CI/CD pipelines
  • Own software supply-chain security including dependency analysis, SBOMs, artifact signing, and provenance verification
  • Govern secrets management and implement application allowlisting/blocklisting controls across the organization
  • Design hardened infrastructure patterns and base images for self-hosting applications securely across AWS, Azure, and on-premises
  • Build automation and tooling to scale security practices across engineering teams without manual bottlenecks
  • Embed with development teams to provide security guardrails and guidance throughout the development lifecycle
