About this role
Scout Motors seeks an Interior/Electrical Accessory Development Engineer to lead the design, validation, and production of innovative interior and electrical accessories for electric and plug-in hybrid trucks and SUVs. You'll manage cross-functional teams, oversee supplier selection, and drive accessories from concept through market launch while ensuring seamless vehicle integration.
What you'll do
- Design, release, and validate interior and electrical accessories for on-road and off-road applications from concept to production
- Lead RFQ packages, technical reviews, and supplier selection processes
- Develop specification documents, test plans, DVP&R, DFMEA, and quality assurance requirements
- Direct CAD modeling, 3D packaging, and analytical validation (FEA, CFD) to meet functional and design requirements
- Lead cross-functional product development teams to collaborate internally and with suppliers on accessory strategy and execution
- Maintain component requirements, specifications, and interface control documents (ICD)
