About this role
Sesame, a hardware startup building lifelike voice-enabled computers, seeks an experienced Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer to design and manage manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and assembly processes. You'll work with international fabrication partners and automation vendors to optimize production quality, yield, and throughput for innovative consumer hardware.
What you'll do
- Design assembly fixtures, jigs, and manufacturing tooling using 3D CAD
- Serve as primary contact for international fabrication partners
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues to improve quality, yield, and throughput
- Manage external partners developing fixtures, test systems, and equipment
- Collaborate with automation vendors on robotic manufacturing deployment
- Support new product introduction and process development with engineering teams
