About this role

Silna Health is seeking a backend-focused software engineer to join their NYC-based healthcare technology team. You'll help build automation solutions that streamline insurance approval processes, including clinical case management systems, external APIs, and AI-powered workflow automation.

What you'll do

• Develop and scale backend services handling healthcare prior authorization workflows
• Build clinical case management systems to digitize insurance company processes
• Design and implement external-facing APIs for healthcare data standardization
• Integrate AI models (voice automation, computer vision) into existing systems
• Collaborate closely with CTO and COO on technical strategy and customer problem-solving
• Deliver software solutions tied to measurable business outcomes

What they're looking for

• Backend development (Flask preferred)
• Python or related backend language
• PostgreSQL and database design
• AWS services (ECS, S3, CloudFront)
• API design and development
• Problem-solving focused on user needs
• Collaborative teamwork and communication
• Healthcare or complex domain understanding (a plus)
