About this role
SingleStore seeks a Software Engineer Intern to join the Database Engine team and contribute to core database technology, including query processing, storage, and distributed systems. You'll design and implement production-quality features while learning from experienced engineers in a collaborative environment.
What you'll do
- Develop new features and improvements across the SingleStore distributed SQL database
- Work on SQL query processing, optimization, and execution
- Improve storage engines, indexing, and data management systems
- Build reliable distributed-system components with focus on concurrency and fault tolerance
- Write production code, comprehensive tests, documentation, and technical designs
- Investigate and resolve performance, scalability, and correctness issues
