ALO seeks an experienced Raw Materials Developer to lead fabric innovation and commercialization for their performance activewear brand. This role involves collaborating across design and product teams to develop high-performance, sustainable materials while managing supplier relationships, conducting technical testing, and ensuring materials meet brand and quality standards.

What you'll do

  • Develop and refine innovative fabrics aligned with seasonal creative and technical goals, with ownership of Men's fabric programs
  • Oversee lab testing, wear testing, and validation of fabric performance using industry protocols (AATCC, ASTM, ISO)
  • Lead wear test program execution including sample coordination, feedback consolidation, and translation of insights into development decisions
  • Partner with Design, Product Development, Technical Design, Production, and Sustainability teams as the technical expert throughout material selection and commercialization
  • Build and maintain relationships with global mills, lead development conversations, and resolve technical issues from sampling to production
  • Design tracking systems and KPI dashboards to monitor fabric adoption, seasonal outcomes, and development efficiency
