About this role
SingleStore seeks a new graduate software engineer to join the Database Engine team and develop core database features including query execution, storage, and distributed systems components. You'll work on production-quality systems software with experienced engineers, taking ownership of well-scoped projects and building expertise in database and systems engineering.
What you'll do
- Design and implement features for the SingleStore distributed SQL database engine
- Optimize query execution, runtime performance, and system scalability
- Develop storage engines, indexing mechanisms, transactions, and data management systems
- Build and debug reliable distributed-system components
- Write production code, comprehensive tests, documentation, and technical design specifications
- Investigate and resolve performance, scalability, and correctness issues in production systems
