IT Platform and Automation Engineer
About this role
Snorkel is hiring an IT Platform and Automation Engineer to architect and automate internal infrastructure—treating it as a product rather than a reactive support function. You'll own identity management, endpoint lifecycle, network engineering, and build custom integrations between core business systems using Python and modern automation tools, with opportunities to experiment with AI/LLM workflows.
What you'll do
- Design and automate identity management (Okta/Auth0), SSO, MFA, and SCIM provisioning across SaaS tools with zero-trust principles
- Own endpoint lifecycle automation using Jamf and Intune, including device provisioning and zero-touch onboarding workflows
- Design and maintain office networking infrastructure and secure remote access solutions (ZTNA/VPN) for hybrid workforce
- Build and maintain custom API integrations between Okta, Greenhouse, Notion, and CRM to eliminate manual data entry
- Develop internal automation layer using Python to replace low-code tools on mission-critical paths; create Slack apps and dashboards for self-service employee requests
- Architect security automation pipelines including EDR/SIEM alerting, patch management scripting, and compliance reporting for SOC2/ISO standards
