Software Engineer Intern (Database Engineering) - Spring 2027

About this role

Snowflake seeks a database engineering intern for Spring 2027 to work on enterprise-grade cloud data platform systems. You'll contribute to query engines, storage systems, and distributed data processing while gaining exposure to large-scale database internals and cloud infrastructure.

What you'll do

• Implement and test features in query compilation, optimization, and execution components
• Contribute to database engine development across compiler, query optimization, or performance areas
• Work on high-performance data processing and distributed systems within FoundationDB or Unistore teams
• Participate in design and testing of enterprise-grade software services
• Collaborate with mentors and engineers on challenging, production-facing projects
• Handle sensitive customer data according to company security standards
