About this role

Snowflake is seeking a backend software engineer to build the control plane and user management systems for their managed Postgres offering. You'll design and operate core services handling provisioning, lifecycle management, access control, and operational reliability for a strategic product expansion into transactional database workloads.

What you'll do

  • Design and build backend services for provisioning, lifecycle management, and configuration of Snowflake Postgres instances
  • Develop access control and user model features including authorization, secure administration, and management capabilities
  • Improve reliability, observability, and operability of asynchronous workflows and background systems
  • Investigate production issues, participate in on-call, and drive resilience improvements
  • Partner with product, security, and engineering teams to deliver customer-facing experiences
  • Contribute to technical design, code review, and mentoring across the team
