About this role
Sony Interactive Entertainment seeks a Software Engineer II to design and build scalable data platforms that power PlayStation's data-driven features for millions of users. You'll develop systems for data cataloging, analytics, and ETL pipelines while collaborating across global teams in a hybrid San Diego or San Mateo role.
What you'll do
- Develop, test, and deploy high-quality code for large-scale data platform systems
- Support data cataloging, analytics, and ETL/ELT pipeline capabilities
- Handle structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data (audio, video, text, images)
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement improvements with guidance from senior engineers
- Participate in on-call rotation for production support and troubleshoot critical issues
- Contribute documentation and present work in team demos
