About this role
PlayStation is hiring a Software QA Engineer on a contract basis to design and build sophisticated test automation frameworks across UI, API, and backend systems. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to shift quality left, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and ensure millions of users receive high-quality gaming experiences.
What you'll do
- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, and cases across UI, API, and backend systems
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks for UI, API, service-level, and end-to-end testing including device and performance validation
- Create testing infrastructure for automated service validation and backend system testing
- Partner with infrastructure teams to design and optimize CI/CD pipelines and quality gates
- Analyze test results, identify root causes of defects, and collaborate with development teams on resolution
- Develop reusable test utilities, APIs, and libraries to improve automation efficiency and consistency
