About this role
SpaceX is seeking a Civil Engineer to design and oversee development of a second orbital launch pad and supporting infrastructure at Starbase, Texas. You'll lead site planning, drainage, stormwater management, permitting, and field construction coordination for this massive aerospace facility.
What you'll do
- Conduct site feasibility studies, conceptual planning, and manage stormwater, grading, drainage, and utility design
- Perform engineering calculations for grading, drainage systems, water quality, and underground utilities
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies to obtain local, state, and federal permits for land development projects
- Oversee civil construction activities on-site, including quality control and multi-discipline contractor coordination
- Develop project requirements, schedules, and cost estimates with contractors and internal stakeholders
- Resolve design and construction conflicts in real-time in the field
