About this role
SpaceX is hiring mechanical engineers for their Starship program to design and develop next-generation launch vehicles, production systems, and launch infrastructure. You'll work across design, analysis, testing, manufacturing, and structures in a fast-paced environment solving unprecedented aerospace challenges.
What you'll do
- Design and develop hardware for Starship and Super Heavy vehicles across multiple disciplines
- Perform hand calculations and finite element analysis to optimize designs
- Transform system requirements into hardware concepts and evaluate trade-offs
- Rapidly iterate on manufacturing processes and conduct development testing
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and lead design reviews with suppliers
