Bastrop, TXmidAdded yesterday

About this role

SpaceX seeks an Electrical Test Development Engineer to design and build automated test solutions for Starlink customer hardware including satellite dishes and Wi-Fi routers. You'll take ownership of test infrastructure that validates reliability and performance across millions of consumer devices shipped globally, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive improvements from development through production.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop automated test solutions for high-volume consumer phased arrays, routers, power supplies, and new products
  • Select and integrate commercial test equipment or design custom PCBAs for signal measurement, load simulation, and device power delivery
  • Write Python automation software to control test equipment, interact with units under test, and integrate with production systems
  • Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and test teams to identify reliability improvements and yield optimization opportunities
  • Analyze circuits and develop functional test plans to increase test coverage and catch failure mechanisms
  • Challenge assumptions and identify simple solutions to complex testing and validation problems

What they're looking for

  • Hardware development and electronics test engineering
  • Python programming and object-oriented software development
  • Test equipment operation (oscilloscope, multimeter, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer)
  • PCBA design and troubleshooting
  • Circuit analysis and functional test planning
  • Electronics reliability and failure mechanism analysis
  • Environmental testing (HALT/HASS, thermal, vibration, TVAC)
  • Metrology and measurement uncertainty analysis
