Embedded Software Engineer, OS/Platform (Starlink)

SpaceX is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for its Starlink program in Redmond, WA. The role involves developing and maintaining software for satellite systems, enhancing platform security, and ensuring efficient connectivity.

What you'll do

• Maintain and update in-house OSS software branches
• Support secure boot and runtime security for satellite components
• Maintain spacecraft Ethernet network and connectivity
• Develop and test spacecraft software update processes
• Support system on chip and peripheral lifecycle
• Interface with hardware engineers for prototype to operation transition

What they're looking for

• C, C++, Python, and/or Rust proficiency
• Linux Kernel experience
• Networking knowledge and Linux stack familiarity
• Computer architecture understanding
• Experience with ARM embedded systems
• Debugging and performance optimization skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication
