About this role
SpaceX seeks an Environmental Engineer to manage regulatory compliance and environmental operations at its Memphis-area AI infrastructure and supercomputing facilities. You will develop compliance programs, oversee permit management, conduct audits, and coordinate with engineering teams to support rapid facility expansion while meeting federal and state environmental standards.
What you'll do
- Develop and maintain environmental compliance programs for large-scale computing facilities
- Ensure adherence to EPA, TDEC, and local environmental regulations through audits and inspections
- Manage air emissions, wastewater, stormwater, and hazardous waste permits and reporting
- Track regulatory changes and provide guidance to leadership and engineering teams
- Support facility expansions and equipment installations with environmental permitting oversight
- Coordinate with environmental contractors and cross-functional teams on compliance integration
