Facilities Engineer (Starlink)
About this role
SpaceX seeks a Facilities Engineer to optimize operations at the Starlink production facility in Bastrop, Texas. You'll oversee soft-services, infrastructure contracts, utility planning, and implement data-driven maintenance strategies while standardizing processes across the rapidly expanding industrial campus.
What you'll do
- Optimize site-wide soft-services operations including fleet, workplace services, and space planning to improve service levels and reduce costs
- Analyze and manage site-services contracts (custodial, landscaping, transportation, waste) for cost and performance optimization
- Manage inventory of critical infrastructure consumables and spares to ensure equipment availability
- Forecast site-level utilities and structure contract terms to support rapid facility expansion
- Standardize Building Management System (BMS) and SCADA platforms to implement predictive and preventative maintenance strategies
- Define and track department-level metrics and dashboards for facilities operations health, reliability, and efficiency

- MRP/ERP systems and inventory planning
- Cost-benefit analysis and process improvement methodologies
- Strong written and verbal communication for non-technical stakeholders
