About this role
SpaceX seeks a Full Stack Software Engineer to build innovative software solutions for next-generation manufacturing automation in the Components Engineering Team. You'll develop web applications, CNC control systems, and AI-driven tools to accelerate Starship production toward 100+ units annually.
What you'll do
- Design and deploy highly reliable software solutions used across multiple SpaceX teams
- Own complete software development lifecycle from design through testing to production deployment
- Build applications that reduce machine shop cycle time and accelerate CAD-to-part workflows
- Analyze user problems deeply to develop efficient, tailored solutions
- Participate in architecture discussions, design decisions, and code reviews with engineering teams

- Full stack development across frontend and backend
- Object-oriented programming (Python, JavaScript, C#, .NET, or Java)
- Frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or similar)
- Docker, Kubernetes, and container deployment
- Database design and management (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Linux/UNIX systems and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- AI/ML problem-solving approaches
- Web technologies (nginx, haproxy, redis)
