About this role
SpaceX seeks a Full Stack Software Engineer to develop mission-critical applications supporting launch operations, Starship production, and Starlink services. You'll own challenging problems across the entire software stack, working on systems that range from manufacturing platforms to satellite constellation management, with significant impact on SpaceX's core missions.
What you'll do
- Develop highly reliable, mission-critical software solutions used across SpaceX operations
- Create new applications that improve manufacturing, launch, and Starlink network operations
- Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints
- Own full lifecycle of software engineering projects from design through deployment
- Analyze user problems deeply to design and implement efficient solutions
- Contribute to architecture, design decisions, and code reviews with the engineering team

- Full stack development (1+ years required)
- Object-oriented programming (Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or similar)
- Single page web application development (Angular, React, or similar)
- Database design and optimization (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- Docker and Kubernetes containerization
- CI/CD, version control, and build systems (Bazel, Gradle, Make)
- Data streaming technologies (Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ)
- UNIX-like systems and infrastructure tools (Terraform, Ansible)
