IT Network Infrastructure Technician

As an IT Network Infrastructure Technician at SpaceX in Bastrop, TX, you'll play a crucial role in supporting communication systems critical for production and launch activities. The position involves installation, testing, and troubleshooting of various cabling and equipment, ensuring high performance in real-time communication systems.

What you'll do

• Install and test fiber, network, audio, video, and RF cabling
• Troubleshoot audio, video, and RF equipment
• Build out telecommunication and equipment rooms
• Document test results and maintain cabling systems
• Collaborate with team members on troubleshooting efforts
• Perform complex technical assignments related to communication systems

What they're looking for

• Experience with fiber optics and copper cabling
• Knowledge of industry standards (BICSI, NEC, TIA/EIA)
• Ability to install and test low voltage cables
• Familiarity with audio, video, and wireless systems
• Competence with measuring instruments for diagnostics
• Operational knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, etc.)
• Experience with power supplies and video infrastructure
• Ability to operate work site machinery
