About this role
SpaceX is hiring a Process Safety Engineer to establish safety parameters and procedures across manufacturing processes at Starbase. You'll conduct risk assessments, design safety systems, lead laser safety operations, and provide guidance on high-pressure systems for advanced aerospace production.
What you'll do
- Establish safety tools and procedures for production process planning and optimization
- Perform risk assessments on industrial machinery and design functional safety systems (SIS, SIL)
- Serve as Laser Safety Officer and conduct PFMEAs
- Analyze tooling and ground support equipment for safety and load factors
- Provide safety design guidance on high-pressure systems
- Attend test readiness reviews and ensure regulatory compliance
