About this role
SpaceX/Akoustis seeks an RF Test Engineer to develop test procedures and calibration methods for high-frequency BAW filters used in Starlink satellites. The role combines hands-on RF testing with process improvement, equipment management, and team leadership in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute test cases for RF BAW filter devices across 2GHz to >10GHz frequency ranges
- Create calibration procedures and optimize probe station workflows in high-mix manufacturing
- Drive yield improvement and cost reduction through process optimization and SPC/DOE analysis
- Own automated probe stations and VNA equipment, troubleshooting issues with vendors and maintenance
- Lead test operators, coordinate cross-functional projects, and manage tool installations
- Collaborate with design teams on manufacturability and maintain technical documentation/SOPs
