About this role
SpaceX seeks a Software Engineer to develop mission-critical applications supporting rocket production, Starship manufacturing, and Starlink satellite operations. You'll own full-stack projects across diverse systems, from high-throughput factory software to customer-facing platforms, working collaboratively with teams across the company.
What you'll do
- Develop reliable, mission-critical software solutions deployed across SpaceX operations
- Create new applications that improve manufacturing, launch, and flight operations
- Build prototypes to validate design concepts and identify technical constraints
- Own all phases of software engineering from design through deployment
- Analyze user problems deeply to design efficient solutions
- Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and team design discussions

- Full-stack development
- Object-oriented programming (Python, C#.NET, Go, Java, or Scala)
- Single-page web application development (React, Angular, or similar)
- Database design (PostgreSQL, SQL Server)
- CI/CD, version control, and deployment automation

- Stream data processing (Kafka, RabbitMQ, ActiveMQ)
