About this role

Join SpaceX's Core Infrastructure team as a Platform/Infrastructure Software Engineer supporting Starlink. You'll design and maintain scalable distributed systems, optimize database performance, manage Kubernetes clusters at scale, and build internal developer platforms while proactively identifying and preventing infrastructure bottlenecks before they impact production.

What you'll do

  • Analyze system metrics and database queries to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks proactively
  • Build and maintain internal developer platform with self-service tools and CI/CD pipelines
  • Operate and secure production Kubernetes clusters across multiple regions
  • Partner with application teams to optimize SQL queries and manage schema changes safely
  • Investigate infrastructure requests to uncover true underlying needs and propose long-term solutions
