Software Engineer, Onboard Infrastructure
About this role
Build foundational robotics and vehicle software infrastructure for autonomous trucking at Stack AV. You'll develop high-performance systems including Clockwork middleware, StackOS, and deployment tools that power production autonomous vehicles, working across simulation, cloud, and hardware environments.
What you'll do
- Design and implement high-throughput, low-latency logging frameworks for telemetry, events, and console data streams
- Develop features, interfaces, and optimizations for Clockwork robotics middleware in collaboration with autonomy and safety teams
- Identify and implement performance, reliability, and usability improvements in resource-constrained environments
- Prototype and maintain sensor interfaces that feed the vehicle's perception system
- Ensure software quality through automated testing, code review, and best practices
