Forward Deployed Engineer
About this role
Striim seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to serve as a technical leader and customer advocate, spending 40-50% of time writing production code and architecting real-time data solutions while building long-term enterprise relationships. You'll implement complex data pipelines, lead Kafka and CDC integrations across multi-cloud environments, and influence product strategy based on customer insights.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end implementation of real-time data pipelines using CDC, Kafka, and multi-cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Build custom connectors and production-grade systems in Java and Python; architect APIs and data pipelines
- Design and optimize Kubernetes deployments for containerized data workloads at enterprise scale
- Debug complex issues across distributed systems and act as technical escalation for customer challenges
- Partner with customers across full lifecycle from pre-sales architecture through post-sales adoption and expansion
- Translate customer needs into actionable product requirements and influence engineering roadmap priorities
